2024 ARD Art Design Contest
We're thrilled to announce the Art Design Contest for the 2024 Animas River Days! This contest is an open call for artists to create a design that embodies the spirit of whitewater sports and the beauty of the Animas River. The winning design will be featured on our festival T-shirts, posters, the event website, and offer wide visibility on our promotional materials.
Design Guidelines
Your submission should celebrate the love of whitewater sports, rivers, and nature.
- Creativity and Originality: We're looking for unique designs that capture the excitement and beauty of the Animas River and whitewater sports. Your design should speak to the hearts of our local river enthusiasts.
- Versatility: The design should be adaptable for use on T-shirts, posters, the festival's website, and sponsor banners. Consider how your design scales and maintains its impact across different sizes and mediums.
- Aesthetic Quality: The artwork should be visually appealing and easily recognizable. The words "Animas River Days 2024" should be incorporated into the design.
- Community: Your design should mirror the Durango community's river culture and incorporate elements that symbolize the spirit of Animas River Days.
Submission Requirements
- Format: Ideally, artwork will be submitted in a high-resolution digital format (JPEG, PNG, or PDF). However, hand drawn submissions also will be considered.
- Size: Please ensure that your design fits within a 12"x12" area for T-shirts. For other uses, the design should be scalable.
- Color: While there are no strict color limitations, consider how your design will look in both full color and in black & white (for specific merchandise or promotional materials).
- Originality: Your submission must be your original work and not infringe on any third-party rights.
How to Submit
- Please email your design submissions to [email protected]. Include your full name, contact information, and a brief description of your design concept.
- Ensure the subject line reads "2024 ARD Art Design Submission."
Deadline & Selection Process
All entries must be submitted by March 15th, 2024. A panel of judges from the Animas River Days organizing committee will review all submissions. The winning design will be selected based on its originality, relevance to the theme, and versatility across different mediums. The winner will be notified via email and announced on our website and social media.
The artist of the winning design will receive the opportunity to have their artwork featured prominently in all 2024 Animas River Days promotional materials.
