Santa Rita Park Rules

In cooperation with the City of Durango, the following rules and regulations must be observed at Santa Rita Park.  Please help us keep Animas River Days an annual event by being respectful to police officers, volunteers, other attendees and park property.  Please remember that this is an event based on our love for the river so do not throw trash into the river, wear your PFDs (personal flotation device) and watch your children closely if they are playing by the water's edge.

No Dogs Allowed

Sorry, no dogs allowed in the Beer Garden.  Please feel free to watch with your fury friends from the Dog Park on river right. Information about the Durango Dog Park.

Please Dismount/No Motorized Wheels

For the safety of all those at the park, we ask that you dismount from your bikes when inside the Beer Garden. Also, the City of Durango does not allow motorized wheels on the river trail, which includes One Wheels, Motorized Bikes, etc.

No Outside Alcohol

We kindly ask that you do not bring alcoholic beverages into the park.  It is especially important that this rule is observed when coming off the river from your boats during the river parade.  Ska Beer Garden and Toast Mobile Lounge will be open all day if you wish to enjoy an adult libation.

No Camping at Santa Rita Park

No overnight camping at Santa Rita Park. This includes camping in your vehicle or RV. Please refer to our camping guide for many great options in and around Durango.

There will be no public parking at Santa Rita Park on Saturday or Sunday, June 4-5, 2022.  We encourage you to Go Green and walk, bike or boat to the park.  A shuttle is provided from the Durango Transit Center to Santa Rita Park every 20 minutes on Saturday, June 4th.
